Fauré’s In Paradisum was a late substitution to honour the dead in the horrific attacks in Paris two days previously.
The psalm was taken from John Ainslie’s new collection, Sing the Psalms Simply. This is a welcome new addition to the repertoire, and the responsses in particular, in my view, are finely crafted.
